Attracting intellectuals to participate in social criticism

HNN.VN - A workshop on "Improving the effectiveness of consultancy, criticism and social assessment for socio-economic development in Thua Thien Hue province" organized by the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Thua Thien Hue province on July 3.

At the seminar, many solutions to improve the consultancy, criticism and social assessment for socio-economic development were discussed by the delegates; in the discussion, some delegates commented that the intellectuals should actively participate in research, transfer and criticism activities to improve the quality of criticism work.

The work of social consultancy, criticism and expertise is one of the important tasks of the provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations system. The provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations organized the criticism session for 14 socio-economic development projects in the province and participated in appraisal councils of dozens of scientific topics and projects, as well as hundreds of evaluation reports on environmental influence. Particularly, the members of expertise associations also participate in consulting and criticizing many schemes and projects, like those of urban planning and development association, history and science association, etc.
