Businesses cooperate to develop ecotourism at Ru Cha

HNN.VN - On September 8th, the People’s Committee of Hoa Chau Ward held a working session with Tay Ho Investment and Finance Joint Stock Company on investment cooperation and the development of Ru Cha Ecotourism Site.

At the meeting, Tay Ho Investment and Finance JSC presented several proposed components for ecotourism development at Ru Cha, including: culinary services featuring specialties of the lagoon region; community-based tourism tied to local cultural experiences; environmental education and ecological discovery programs. The company confirmed its desire to work alongside local authorities to implement professional, well-planned investments that harness Ru Cha’s natural advantages while ensuring the sustainable conservation of its landscape and ecosystem.

Leaders of Hoa Chau Ward People’s Committee acknowledged the proposals, highly valued the cooperation potential, and emphasized that tourism development must be linked with community benefits, creating livelihoods for local residents and safeguarding the mangrove forest. The ward will instruct relevant departments to continue working with the company to finalize the plan and report to higher authorities for consideration.

Immediately after the meeting, leaders of the ward and Tay Ho Investment and Finance JSC conducted a field survey at Ru Cha to assess the current infrastructure and develop an appropriate investment plan.

The session opened new prospects for cooperation in developing ecotourism at Ru Cha, aiming to build it into an attractive destination that contributes to the socio-economic development of Hoa Chau Ward and Hue City.

The forest belongs to Thuan Hoa village (Huong Phong commune), about 15km from the center of Hue city. The scenery here is like a picture of pristine, fresh and gentle nature, attracting all eyes.

Within less than 10 kilometers away from the center of Hue City, Ru Cha is located in Thuan Hoa Village, Huong Phong Commune (Hue City). It is named Ru Cha because this place is a forest (also known as ru) with the cha (excoecaria agallocha, a mangrove species) trees, grown to prevent salinity and protect the mainland. This is a rare and precious primeval mangrove forest, within the Tam Giang lagoon system - the largest brackish water lagoon in Southeast Asia.
