Signing the coordination regulation on forest management and protection.

HNN.VN - On March 7, the signing ceremony of coordination regulation on managing and protecting the adjacent forests between two provinces Thua Thien Hue and Quang Nam was held at Bach Ma National Park.

The coordination regulation on management and protection of the adjacent forests between two provinces Thua Thien Hue and Quang Nam was signed by Thua Thien Hue Forest Protection Department, Quang Nam Forest Protection Department and Bach Ma National Park. Accordingly, those units will coordinate in exchanging information, promoting and imparting law; coordinate in patrol, inspection and forest protection; prevent forest fires and handle infringements; and coordinate in forest nurseries and seedlings.

Signing the coordination regulation on forest management and protection is a necessity for the two localities to ensure the forest resources in the adjacent area will be protected and sustainably developed.

On the basis of signed contents, the leaders of the two localities requested establishments, departments and forest owners of the two provinces to focus their efforts on executing policies of the Party and State law on forest protection and development. It is also necessary to make sensible use of biodiversity values and forest services in association with deploying socio-economic development activities to create jobs and develop livelihoods, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction for people living in difficult mountainous region
