A valuable and rare wild cat released back to the natural environment

The wild cat is being taken care

Previously, on September 3, receiving the information about the violation of wildlife protection from the Provincial Smart City Monitoring and Controlling Center (Hue-S), the Forest Protection Department of Hue city coordinated with Hue city Police, and the Police of Phu Hau Ward (Hue city) to carry out the reconnaissance to get the information, approach the offenders and successfully recuse an individual of wild cat.

This is a valuable and rare individual of wild cat with the scientific name of Prionailurus bengalensis, belonging to the group IIB under the Resolution No.06/2019/NĐ-CP on January 22, 2019 of the Government on managing endangered, valuable, and rare wild fauna and flora, and implementing the Convention on International Trade in endangered Species of wild fauna and flora.

After being taken care, the Forest Protection Department of Hue city in collaboration with Sao La Natural Reserve released the wild cat back to the natural environment.
