Spreading good values with Hue Jogging
HNN.VN - The 6th “Hue Jogging - Running for the community” event in 2025 took place on the morning of February 16 at Phu Van Lau (Le Duan Street), attracting nearly 6,000 participants. The event featured two distances, including 5km and 10km.

With the theme “Celebrating the establishment of Phu Xuan and Thuan Hoa Districts - Tet of Unity, Spring of Love”, Hue Jogging is one of the vibrant and meaningful activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Hue City; celebrating the 94th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and kicking off the Youth Month in 2025.
In addition to the mentioned meanings, the 6th Hue Jogging event in 2025 also aims to continue spreading the spirit of physical training and sports; introduce and promote the image of a dynamic, integrated, and “always new” Hue City; celebrate the establishment of two districts: Phu Xuan and Thuan Hoa, and the event of Thua Thien Hue Province becoming the 6th centrally-governed municipality of Vietnam. At the same time, it is an opportunity for the Organizing Committee to call on the community to raise funds for the “Supporting children to school” scholarships for students in difficult circumstances in the city.

After 5 times of organizing the event with the themes “Developing reading culture”, “For a green Hue”, “Spring of love”, and “Supporting children to school”, Hue Jogging has attracted nearly 30,000 registered athletes, received more than 650 books, planted 429 trees, and raised hundreds of millions of VND to support the “For the poor” fund of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, and awarded scholarships to students in difficult circumstances.
Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Thuan Hoa District Party Secretary, said that Hue Jogging has become a familiar sporting activity of the city, widely supported by the people. Notably, this activity is not only limited to the central city area, but has also spread to many communes and wards, meaning that the spirit of physical training and sports, as well as good and human values are being spread more strongly in the community.
