HNN.VN - On the morning of September 1st, the 5th edition of “Hue Jogging – Running for the community” event of 2024, with the theme “Hue Always New,” took place at the Square of the Provincial Administrative Urban Area in Xuan Phu Ward, Hue City.

“Hue Jogging - Running for the community” 5th edition in 2024Over 13.500 runners join in the 4th “Hue Jogging - Run for the Community”Over 5.000 people sign up for the “Hue Jogging” program

People enthusiastically participated in the running event.

Since 4 AM, thousands of participants had gathered at the square and surrounding areas to take part in the race.

Unlike previous races that featured routes passing through famous landmarks, historical sites, or along the banks of the Perfume River and city center streets, this year's event led runners through new urban areas and recently expanded roads such as Vo Nguyen Giap, Vu Thang, Vo Chi Cong, the Phu My An Urban Area, To Huu Street, and notably past the upcoming AEONMALL shopping center, set to open in mid-September, with two distance options of 5 km and 10 km.

Le Minh, a resident of Phong An Commune (Phong Dien), shared: “In the past, whenever I participated in running events in Hue, the routes mostly went through the city center and inner-city areas, and I rarely had the chance to visit the administrative center. This time, I got to experience new routes and witnessed the scale and grandeur of the new urban areas and projects, truly seeing the city's development.”

This event was organized to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd. It also aimed to encourage people in the area to engage in physical exercise, supporting the “All people doing exercise, following the example of great Uncle Ho” movement, contributing to improve health for studying, working, producing; and building and defending the nation.
