Over 13.500 runners join in the 4th “Hue Jogging - Run for the Community”

TTH.VN - The 4th marathon “Hue Jogging – Run for the Community” 2023 held by Hue City Youth Union opening on the morning of August 20 at Ngo Mon Gate attracted the participation of over 13.500 runners.

Officially taking place at 4:00 a.m., on the morning of August 20, the marathon gathered all walks of life, from officers, cadres, as well as employees from agencies, departments, organizations, businesses, and locals in and out of the city area.

There were 2 running distances which were available for runners to choose, including 5km or 10km, starting at Ngo Mon Gate and running through the most beautiful streets of Hue City.

The 5km distance includes Ngo Mon Gate – Quang Duc Gate – Le Duan Street– Da Vien foot bridge – Le Duan Street – Yet Kieu street – Huu Gate – Yet Kieu street – Le Huan street – Dang Thai Than street – Doan Thi Diem Street – 23/8 street – Ngo Mon Gate.

Meanwhile, the 10km includes  Ngo Mon Gate – Quang Duc Gate – Le Duan Street – Tran Hung Dao street – Truong Tien Bridge – Le Loi street – Hoang Hoa Tham street – Ly Thuong Kiet street – Nguyen Van Cu street – Hai Ba Trung street – Nguyen Hue street – Dien Bien Phu street (the waking path behind Hue Music Academy) – Ga Bridge – Bui Thi Xuan street – Da Vien Bridge – Le Duan street – Yet Kieu street – Huu Gate – Yet Kieu street – Le Huan street – Dang Thai Than street – Doan Thi Diem street – 23/8 street – Ngo Mon Gate.

The marathon has spread the message of joining hands for community life 

The 4th marathon “Hue jogging – Run together for the Community” 2023 was held to encourage and empower the students with difficult circumstances in Hue City area before the 2023 - 2024 academic year.

The funding was from the contribution of each runner, which costs 50.000 VND/person (free for those under 16 years old). 20.000 VND in the amount of money contributed by each runner used to make finisher medals for the runners, and the remaining 30.000 VND would transfer to “the Fund for the Poor” to offer presents to students with difficult circumstances.

With the theme “Raise your steps to school”, this is a marathon held to spread the message of joining hands for community life and helping those with difficult circumstances in Hue City area.

Those finishing the running route would receive the finisher medals and join in the Minigame Lucky Draw with 106 prizes, with a total value of nearly 220 million VND. The expenses to run this event were sponsored by businesses in the city area.

According to the organizing board, the marathon was also an opportunity to practice physical health and will, support the community, and create positive energy for the city, as well as experience high-end service products through the given prizes.
