Over 5.000 students experience AI

This is the first time that students have experienced robot control and operation

Participating in the experience day were 500 students from high schools and universities in the area of Thua Thien Hue province.

AI Open Day 2024 consisted of a series of activities, including lectures, hands-on interactive programming sessions. Especially, students also got the chance to practically experience AI applications and joined AI games, such as AI speak, AI beauty, facial recognition, as well as robot control and operation, etc.

Addressing the festival, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Lich – Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology – Hue University informed that the era of AI is bringing numerous opportunities and challenges. Therefore, training AI early for students has become a national strategy of many countries all over the world.

To provide high-quality human resources to serve society and economy in the coming time, initially, it is necessary to build up an AI community in the Central Vietnam, with the core is students. The close connection between schools and agencies, businesses is also crucial for producing a workforce that meets the demand of labor market, especially in the field of AI.

In the framework of the festival, the consultancy of experts and lecturers on AI has helped students to gain the deeper understanding about AI, and at the same time, they will be able to orient themselves and choose suitable ology in the future. Furthermore, the businesses also want to take the work of training and researching, especially transform AI talent training program for students, heading towards taking this program directly into the high schools’ syllabus.
