Launching the “Hue Tourism Passport - Hue City Passport”

TTH.VN - The application "Hue Tourism Passport - Hue City Passport" aimed to add novelty to tourists' journeys in Hue. As a source of destination information, the application is highly interactive, bringing many interesting experiences to visitors.

The Department of Tourism held a ceremony to launch the "Hue Tourism Passport - Hue City Passport" on the morning of December 20th, with a view to helping tourists apply technology to exploring famous Hue tourist destinations.

The application "Hue Tourism Passport - Hue City Passport" aimed to add novelty to tourists' journeys in Hue. As a source of destination information, the application is highly interactive, bringing many interesting experiences to visitors. Also, it was expected to help tourists easily locate monuments, landscapes as well as experience cuisine and learn about the lifestyle of Hue people, and traditional local crafts.

The Tourism Passport includes the paper-based and the virtual versions. The latter offers users convenience with GPS navigation map, beautiful interface, high interactivity, helping to enhance tourists' travel experience. Meanwhile, the paper version, expected to be released in 2024, allows visitors to easily flip pages and select their own experience journey.

On the morning of January 1, Hue City Department of Tourism in collaboration with the Central Region Airport Authority at Phu Bai International Airport, Phu Bai International Airport, and the Vietnam Airlines branch in Hue, along with Pacific Airlines organized a program to welcome the first flight and visitors to Hue City in 2025. Attending the event was Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Standing member of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee.

On November 30, the National Assembly issued Resolution No. 175/2024/QH15 regarding the establishment of Hue City as a centrally governed municipality (NQ175). Simultaneously, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly issued Resolution 1314/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of district- and commune-level administrative units in Hue City for the 2023–2025 period (NQ 1314). These resolutions will take effect on January 1, 2025.
