Over 300 pediatric patients are given presents at “Children’s Festival Day”

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of May 29, The Center for Social Work and the Provincial Children’s Fund, the Department of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs cooperated with Green Blouse Volunteer Club under the management of the Union of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy - Hue University and the Pediatric Center - Hue Central Hospital to hold the program “Children’s Festival Day”.

Giving the meaningful gifts to the pediatric patients at the Pediatric Center

This was the activity to respond to the Action Month for Children 2022 and the International Children’s Day (June 1)

With the theme “Connecting Love”, the program has presented over 600 gifts to over 300 disadvantaged pediatric patients receiving medical treatment at the Pediatric Center, Hue Central Hospital with a total worth of nearly 50 million VND.

On this occasion, the Provincial Child Rights Protection Association offered 20 million VND to the program “The Kitchen of Hope” for cancer pediatric patients. While the Women’s Union of Hue City presented 12 million VND to the program “Volunteer Meals for Poor Patients”. In the framework of the program “Children’s Festival Day”, the Green Blouse Volunteer Club offered 10 scholarships to children who are under the treatment at the Pediatric Center, with each scholarship being 1 million worth to energize them and their families to overcome the miserably hard road ahead.

Every year, the Green Blouse Volunteer Club often offers “Supporting Cancer Pediatric Patients to School” scholarships to the cancer pediatric patients with difficult circumstances to partially support them in material, spirit, as well as raise motivation for them to keep on their studies and pursue their dreams.

On this occasion, the pediatric patients also got the chance to join the significant activities such as participating in the performances with dances, singing, and fashion shows from recycled products; as well as playing interesting games that have brought to them delighted laughs.
