Previously, Hue Central Hospital had successfully performed a heart transplant from a brain-dead organ donor in Ho Chi Minh City. This is a special trans-Vietnam heart transplant that the Hospital performed in the new normal condition after the COVID-19 pandemic.

This heart transplant case of Hue Central Hospital has set two new records: the shortest time from taking a heart through Vietnam to the time the heart starts to beat again and the shortest operation time.

Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong praised, highly appreciated, and recognized this exceptional achievement of the team of doctors and nurses of Hue Central Hospital. At the same time, he emphasized that the success of Hue Central Hospital this time once again affirmed the position and prestige of Thua Thien Hue province in the roadmap to build Thua Thien Hue into a municipality, a center of the region and the whole country in terms of culture - tourism, specialized health care, education and training, science and technology, etc., of the entire country.
