Opening of the first Phong Dinh Ward Sports Festival in 2025
HNN.VN - On the morning of December 14, the People's Committee of Phong Dinh Ward held the opening ceremony for the first Phong Dinh Ward Sports Festival in 2025, in preparation for Hue City Sports Festival in 2026.

The Sports Festival is organized to evaluate the mass sports movement over the past time, to continue promoting the campaign “All people take exercises following the example of Great Uncle Ho”, and simultaneously to select excellent athletes to participate in the City-level Sports Festival in 2026.
Within the framework of the Sports Festival, athletes competed in 4 sports, including tug of war, stick pushing, badminton, and Chinese chess; with many appropriate events, attracting a large number of officials, citizens, and students.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Hoang Van Thai, Secretary of the Party Committee of Phong Dinh Ward, affirmed that this Sports Festival holds great significance in continuing to develop the mass sports movement, contributing to improving the health and spiritual life of people. Through the Sports Festival, the exercise and sports movement in the area will spread increasingly widely and deeply, attracting the regular participation of all strata of the people, especially teenagers and students.
The leader of Phong Dinh Ward also requested the team of referees to manage the competitions objectively and impartially; and the athletes to compete with a spirit of solidarity, honesty, nobility, and safety, contributing to the overall success of the Sports Festival. Immediately after the opening ceremony, the first competitive events took place lively, creating an enthusiastic and unifying atmosphere among people.
