New Year's Eve fireworks bid farewell to the old year and welcome the New year of the Cat

This New Year's Eve, heaven and earth gave the people of the ancient capital a strangely beautiful night to welcome the New Year with the cold, dry weather instead of the heavy rain and cold that had lasted for many days.

Every street in Hue on New Year's Eve was bustling and crowded. In addition to the square in front of Ngo Mon, the roads along the banks of the Huong River were busy. Many people have chosen for themselves a wide viewing angle to watch the beautiful fireworks as a way to welcome the new year that could not be more meaningful.

On the south bank of the Huong River, the fountain in front of the Provincial People's Committee headquarters and the ironwood walkway along this poetic river were packed with people quite early on. Right on New Year's Eve, looking across the bank of the Huong River, towards the Ky Dai, each series of fireworks shot up shimmering colors like a common party for everyone to bid farewell to the old and welcome the new year.

Many people present did not forget to use their phones to capture the fireworks, saving the important moment of welcoming the new year with their loved ones.

Talking about the New Year of the Cat, everyone hoped to have a lot of luck, peace and happiness. “At this moment, I want to send my best wishes to everyone, especially my family members. Wishing all good health, full of love, and happiness,” Ms. Nguyen Thuy Duong (Hue City) sent a message of good wishes.

To welcome the New Year of the Cat 2023, the province organized high-altitude fireworks at 3 locations. In Hue City, fireworks took place at Ky Dai with 1,000 fireworks, and the other two locations were Phong Dien and Phu Loc, with 500 fireworks at each place.

Before the fireworks, people also took advantage of the spring flower festival space to promenade along the pedestrian street on the south bank of the Huong River. This area was decorated with many beautiful miniatures, one of which is the miniature of the year's animal zodiac - the Cat.
