The third quarter round of the 24th “Road to Mount Olympia” was a competition among four contestants, namely Dang Duy Khanh (Lao Cai High School for the Gifted, Lao Cai province - the champion in January round), Nguyen Tuan Minh (Chu Van An High School, Hanoi - the champion in February round), Phan Duy Hung (Son Tay High School, Hanoi – the champion in March round), and Vo Quang Phu Duc (Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted).

As the quarter round that would determine who would enter to the final round and bring the live broadcast to their hometowns, all of the contestants put in their utmost effort to gain high points.

After the first turn in the “Warming - up” section, the score gap between the contestants were close, with Phu Duc and Duy Hung leading with 50 points each, Tuan Minh with 40 points, and Duy Khanh with 30 points. In the second turn, Phu Duc made an impressive scoring surge by repeatedly pressing the bell to answer the questions, giving him 105 points after the “Warming - up” section, creating a 70-point gap with the second-place contestant, Duy Khanh (45 points).

In the “Overcoming obstacles” section, Duy Khanh successfully found the keyword “Gulf of Tonkin incident”, earning himself an additional 50 points to shorten the gap with Phu Duc. However, in the four questions of the “Speeding - up” section, Tuan Minh made a spectacular breakthrough by scoring 120 points, while Phu Duc maintained his lead in the “mountain climbing race” by scoring 90 points in this section. The competition then became a tense one between Phu Duc (195 points) and Tuan Minh (170 points).

In the “Finishing” section, although there was moment when Tuan Minh won points and surpassed him, Phu Duc, who had been on fire throughout the competition, remained calm, quickly pressed the bell to answer the questions, and was confident in each answer he gave, thereby regaining points to finish the competition with 185 points, 10 points ahead of the second-place finisher Tuan Minh.

With this result, Phu Duc excellently won the laurel wreath of the third quarter round, entering the final round of the 24th “Road to Mount Olympia”, and bringing the live broadcast back to Hue once again.

This is the second consecutive year that Hue has had the live broadcast of the 24th “Road to Mount Olympia”. Phu Duc also became the 7th representative of Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted to achieve this feat, following Nguyen Nguyen Thai Bao (2005), Nguyen Manh Tan (2008), Ho Ngoc Han (2009), Thai Ngoc Huy (2011), Ho Dac Thanh Chuong (2016), and Nguyen Minh Triet (2023).
