Hue Central Hospital’s Center for Intensive Care of COVID-19 in Ho Chi Minh City receiving patients

HNN.VN - From August 24, Hue Central Hospital’s Center for Intensive Care of COVID-19 Patients in Ho Chi Minh City starts to receive the first COVID-19 patients.

On the first day of patient admission, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son had an opening meeting at the center and encouraged the doctors and nurses there.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Truong Son informed that the center had been carefully prepared in terms of equipment and human resources. The equipment here is very modern, including ECMO system, ventilator system, medical supplies, medicine, ... ensuring to provide adequate supply for patients.

Currently, there are nearly 400 doctors and nurses from Hue Central Hospital, Da Nang C Hospital, Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Dong Hoi Hospital, Quang Nam Central General Hospital... working at the center. Here, the ventilator systems, oxygen, robots and other equipment have been completely installed and tested, meeting the demands for treatment.

In the first stage, the center will receive patients rhythmically to ensure that the ventilator systems and vital signs monitors operate stably. When the center operates smoothly, the  center will receive more severe patients. The treatment regimens were made according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health.

In parallel with receiving and treating severe COVID-19 patients, Hue Central Hospital has connected with Districts 10, 12 and Tan Phu ... to promptly provide professional support on intensive care forCOVID-19 patients at some medical facilities in these districts as assigned by the Ministry of Health.
