Giving 519 scholarships to High school and University students

HNN.VN - On December 1st, Hue Educational Foundation (the Foundation) held a ceremony to award first-semester scholarships for the 2024–2025 academic year to High school and University students across the province.

 Giving scholarships to students

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho, former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and representatives from various departments and agencies.

This school year, the Foundation awarded 519 scholarships totalling nearly 1.367 billion VND to students from underprivileged backgrounds who have excelled in academics and personal development. Among the awardees, there are 34 students receiving full-course scholarships worth 340 million VND; 153 students received scholarships of 4 million VND each, totalling 612 million VND;33 college students received scholarships of 2 million VND each, totalling 66 million VND; 46 students from Hue University's School of Medicine and Pharmacy received scholarships worth 200 million VND; and 253 school students received scholarships with a total value of nearly 149 million VND.

As of now, the Foundation has earned the trust and support of philanthropic organizations and individuals, raising over 17.8 billion VND. By the end of the 2024–2025 school year, the Foundation aims to distribute 8,003 scholarships worth nearly 9.3 billion VND. Additionally, part of the funds will be allocated to improve school facilities, provide disaster relief for storms, floods, and epidemics, and assist students in particularly difficult situations.
