Zhi-Shan Foundation Taiwan will sponsor over VND 16,5 billion for children in difficult circumstances
HNN.VN - On the afternoon of December 11, the Zhi-Shan Foundation Taiwan held the closing ceremony that summarized the supporting activities for children in difficult circumstances in 2019 and signing cooperation agreement in 2020.

In 2019, Zhi-Shan Foundation sponsored over VND 16 billion to implement many projects for children in difficult circumstances in education and health fields in different provinces, including Thua Thien Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, and Quang Ngai.
The scholarship project for those who overcome difficulty sponsored over 4 thousand students from primary schools to universities for scholarships worth VND 2,5 million per person per year on average. Children sponsorship project supported 130 orphans in Thua Thien Hue province with VND 7,5 million per person per year.
The project also supported the building of day boarding nursery school and day boarding tuitions for ethnic minority children; implementing the program “Lam ban voi sach” (Be friend with books) in order to help the children to build the reading culture in schools, creating reading book habit for primary students. With the free orthopedic surgery project, 110 surgeries for children were carried out successfully.
On this occasion, Zhi-Shan Foundation and other relevant stakeholders signed the sponsorship agreement in 2020, with a total budget of over VND 23 billion; in which Zhi-Shan Foundation sponsored over VND 16,5 billion, the rest are based on localities’ reciprocal fund.
