Free examination and medicine distribution to people in border area

HNN.VN - On May 4, the Provincial Border Guard Command coordinated with the Hue Central Hospital; and the Military Hospital 268, Military Region 4, to organize the 2024 Military-Civilian-Medical program, providing health examinations, consultations, and free medicine distribution to people in the border area of Vinh Hien commune (Phu Loc).

This medical examination and medication distribution was conducted for more than 450 people, who are from policy families, as well as people, and fishermen in the border area of Vinh Hien commune; screening, counseling, and detecting diseases; and providing free medicine to the people.

Through the program, people have more opportunities to access medical services, early screening, and timely detection of diseases, enabling timely interventions. The program also promotes knowledge on healthcare, disease prevention, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle and reasonable nutrition to ensure the health of individuals, families, and the community.

The program carries profound humanitarian significance, further enhancing the solidarity between the military and the people in general and between the Provincial Border Guard Command and the people in the border area in particular. It is also a platform for military and civilian medical forces in the area to coordinate and promote their combined strength so as to improve the quality of healthcare and health protection for people in the border area.

On this occasion, the Provincial Border Guard Command presented gifts to nearly 30 policy households and families with revolutionary merits. The total value of the program is nearly 200 million VND.
