| Thousands of people and visitors flocked to the streets to say goodbye to the old year and welcome new year 2024 |
From quite early on, thousands of people gathered around the stage area amid cheers and vibrant music. The later the night, the more people there were, and the area around the stage was full of people.
The music night was organized in the form of a "great music festival combined with EDM to welcome the new year", with an impressive and majestic stage, imbued with cultural imprints of Hue, and combined with modern style; in which, there was an introduction to festival experience activities, giving the audience a look back on the journey and results of organizing Hue Festival 2023.
In the art part to welcome new year 2024, modern and youthful music with the participation of singers and artists such as HIEUTHUHAI, Orange, Xuan Dinh K.Y, Phuong Ly Idol, Hoang Lam, Nhiet Huyet band, and DJ Tenshi & Mc Hype Flex, etc., along with Hoang Rapper, the host MC. In addition to the main stage, many large LED screens were also arranged around the stage for everyone to watch, and together say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new year by counting down.
Being organized periodically since 2020, this program has been considered a typical tourism product, and at the same time a general art program closing the series of events of Hue Festival 2023, and welcoming Hue Festival 2024.
Mr. Vo Le Nhat, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City, said that Hue Countdown - Happy New Year art program was a comprehensive art program, closing the series of events in the old year and welcoming the new year, demonstrating the thorough and continuous spirit of Hue Festival.
The program not only carries a cultural and artistic mark, but is also a milestone to look back upon the difficulties and efforts of economic, cultural and social development in the past year, to enter a new year with much better hopes. This is also a music event to attract visitors to Hue ancient capital on the New Year occasion.
“The year 2024 is forecasted to be a year of many intertwined advantages and challenges, units must continue to make more efforts, striving to build, maintain and enhance the position of Hue urban area; as well as promoting the brand name of a Festival City, successfully realizing the goal of turning Thua Thien Hue into a centrally-governed municipality", emphasized Mr. Nhat.
