Hue Central Hospital (HCH) has successfully performed two consecutive kidney transplants using LifePort organ preservation technology, bringing the total number of kidney transplants performed at the hospital using this technology to five. Notably, one donor kidney was transported more than 1.800 km across Vietnam after approximately 18 hours of cold ischemia, helping expand life-saving opportunities for patients with end-stage kidney disease.

On the morning of October 23rd, Hue Central Hospital held the 2026 Southeast Asia International Endoscopy Conference, bringing together experts and physicians from Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and numerous healthcare institutions across Vietnam. The conference served as a scientific forum to update participants on advances in gastrointestinal endoscopy, share clinical experience, and promote training cooperation and the transfer of advanced interventional endoscopic techniques across the region.

On October 21, Hue Central Hospital held a scientific workshop titled ‘Application of Robotic Technology in Spinal Surgery’. The event marked an important step toward adopting advanced technologies and strengthening Vietnam’s capacity to treat complex spinal conditions.

With technical transfer and direct support from a team of experts from Hue Central Hospital, Da Nang C Hospital has performed coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery for the first time on a patient with coronary artery disease and hypertension.

On October 10, Hue Central Hospital announced that, through its technical training and direct specialist support, Can Tho City General Hospital had successfully performed two living-donor kidney transplants in a single day. This achievement expands access to advanced medical care within the Mekong Delta region.
