Taking place from April 28th to 30th, “Thuan An - Call of the Sea 2025” is one of the series of events under Hue Festival, associated with the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30th, 1975 - April 30th, 2025), and the 2025 National Tourism Year.

The opening night’s art performance was meticulously choreographed and featured vibrant performances expressing pride in the homeland's seas and islands, praising the sea’s abundance, and capturing the vitality, spirit, and unique identity of Thuan An's coastal region - all with the aim of fostering unity and hospitality.

According to Mr. Dao Quang Hung - Chairman of Thuan An Ward People’s Committee and Head of the Organizing Committee for “Thuan An - Call of the Sea 2025”, building on Hue’s reputation as an ASEAN Clean Tourist City and Vietnam’s Festival City, and continuing the successes of previous Hue Festivals, “Thuan An - Call of the Sea 2025” aims to honor and promote the cultural identity of the coastal community. It also helps spotlight Hue's potential and strengths in economy, culture, tourism, and its prospects for sustainable development. At the same time, the event calls for domestic and international organizations and individuals to invest in Hue in a spirit of cooperation and friendship, supporting Thuan An Ward’s development in line with the city’s overall progress.

Included in the program are various activities held to create a lively and festive atmosphere for locals and tourists alike, including a sea boat race, traditional product exhibition booths, a kite festival and community kite-flying, as well as games and sports events for the public.
