The announcement ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Standing Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee; leaders of Hue University; representatives from departments, branches, high-tech enterprises; as well as experts and lecturers.

Microchip Design Technology and Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology are two training programs within the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology major. The Microchip Design Technology program is highly application-oriented, and closely connected with enterprises, making it particularly suitable for the development orientation of the semiconductor microchip industry in Vietnam. The Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology program is designed to update the trends in electrical and electronic technology, automation, and smart industrial control, serving the needs of digital transformation in manufacturing, renewable energy, and smart cities.

The Faculty of Engineering and Technology - Hue University (HUET) goes beyond teaching by implementing a training model linked with enterprises, inviting experts from leading technology companies to teach and guide projects. They also organize internships, practical training, and applied research activities for students from their early years.

The announcement of these two training programs in Microchip Design Technology, and Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology holds strategic significance in realizing the Government's policy of developing high-quality human resources in key areas. This comes as Vietnam identifies the semiconductor microchip industry as one of its national technology pillars, with the expectation of becoming an important link in the global supply chain. Preferential policies for infrastructure investment, attracting foreign enterprises, and human resource development are being strongly implemented, and Hue is gradually asserting its role on Vietnam's high-tech industrial map.
