The new engineers, coming from various regions, received thorough and high-quality training in what are considered “hot” majors that meet current societal demands and development trends; including: Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Control and Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Civil Engineering.

The first generation of HUET's new engineers is highly regarded for their outstanding academic achievements. Notably, 55% of the graduates achieved excellent or good grades. Among them, many new engineers boast impressive achievements, and are highly sought after by leading domestic and international enterprises. Some students majoring in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence are continuing their master's studies at universities in Taiwan (China) and Japan.

Many HUET engineers are currently working for numerous technology companies and large corporations such as Nissoy, Fukuhaku Japan, CP Group, Cienco Group, Hoa Phat Group, ThacoAuto, and HBI, etc. Particularly, among the 66 new engineers who just graduated, many students started working during their third year of study, gaining both income and valuable practical experience.

Nguyen Cuu Suu, a new engineer majoring in Control and Automation Engineering, shared: “We were trained in a professional, well-structured environment that emphasized practical application and modern technology. Starting work early at enterprises helped me be ready to confidently enter the profession.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Lich, Head of HUET, shared that when the faculty welcomed its first cohort of students in 2020, it was also when the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, causing significant difficulties and challenges for training activities. As a young, dynamic, and creative unit, both faculty and students overcame these difficulties to achieve today's results.

“Flexibly adapting to all circumstances is the only way to survive and develop. I believe that these students will continue to dedicate themselves and build careers in the modern industrial environment - one that demands knowledge, intellect, and compliance,” emphasized Mr. Lich.

The first cohort of HUET students not only excelled academically, but also actively participated in scientific research and innovative activities. Many student groups won scientific research awards at the faculty, Hue University, and ministerial levels, etc. Many also participated in technology projects of enterprises, creating practical application products. They left their mark in competitions such as Hackathon, and AI Challenge, etc.

According to statistics, over 35% of today's new engineers have officially started working at foreign enterprises in Vietnam after completing their internships with excellent results.

Dr. Bui Van Loi, Vice Director in charge of Hue University, shared that with a modern and dynamic learning environment, HUET's training programs are built to international standards, and are closely aligned with the actual needs of the labor market. Hue University is gradually training elite generations of students with the capacity and ability to work in major global corporations. This is the foundation for Hue University to continue investing in building HUET into a School of Technology in the near future.
