The exhibition, jointly organized by Hue Museum of Fine Arts and Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture, officially opened on May 15 at the university’s exhibition space.

The nearly 150 works showcased in this exhibition were selected from a collection of nearly 2,000 sketching artworks about Hue, which has been preserved and expanded by Hue Museum of Fine Arts since 2020.

The exhibition is the result of a dedicated creative journey by architects, artists, and art enthusiasts from Hanoi Urban Sketchers Group, along with visual artists from Hue. Through direct sketching techniques and genuine emotional expression, the artists have portrayed “a Hue” that is familiar, profound, and refreshingly vibrant.

Through these sketch artworks, visitors are invited on a visual journey to Hue through works featuring temples, royal tombs, architectural landmarks, iconic symbols, and even simple moments from everyday life.

On this occasion, Hue Museum of Fine Arts also introduced several typical heritage forms that embody the rich cultural depth and community identity of Hue, including Hue Singing, the traditional Zeng weaving craftmanship of the Ta Oi people in A Luoi, and the knowledge of wearing and tailoring Hue’s ao-dai.

The exhibition opens for the public until May 30.
