In the summer of 2009, also along the bank of the Huong River, the Literature and Arts Associations of 5 former Imperial Capitals, including Phu Tho, Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, and Thua Thien Hue, gathered in Hue to sign a cooperation agreement on literary and artistic activities. Since then, many activities connecting associations in general, and creation activities of artists and writers in particular, have been organized in many former capitals of Vietnam.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Ho Dang Thanh Ngoc, writer, Chairman of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Hue City, emphasized that Hue is not only a land that once served as the Imperial Capital, but also a culturally rich space layered with historical memories and creative inspiration. The theme “Charming Hue” serves as an invitation for writers and artists to approach, explore, and portray a Hue that is both ancient and evolving in contemporary life.

According to the Organizing Committee, the Creation Camp is an opportunity to continue the flow of exchange among heritage regions, contributing to fostering the connection among creative forces across the country.

The Creation Camp brings together notable figures such as poet Bang Viet, and musician Giang Son, along with many writers and artists from Phu Tho, Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Gia Lai, and Hue City.

The Creation Camp takes place from April 14 to 19.
