The information was announced by Hue City Library at the closing and award ceremony of the 2025 Reading Culture Ambassador Contest held on November 12th.

The organizing committee noted that among 19.700 submissions, many were carefully crafted, creative, and clearly expressed a deep love for books. Particularly, primary and secondary students demonstrated both innocence and depth in their reflections on the role of books and their ability to convey inspiring messages, encouraging positive lifestyles, compassion, sharing, and a sense of social responsibility. The essays went beyond personal impressions, proposing practical initiatives to promote reading culture in schools and communities.

Notably, several schools showed strong engagement with a large number of submissions, such as Chu Van An Secondary School, Hai Ba Trung High School, and Da Le Primary School. From these, the judging panel selected 36 outstanding entries for individual awards and 2 collective prizes, one for the school with the highest number of participants and another for the school with the most winners.

The organizers also added that six top entries from the city-level preliminary round were selected for the national finals, resulting in two individual prizes (one Third Prize and one Consolation Prize) and two collective awards.

Also on the same morning, Hue City Library held the closing and award ceremony for the 2025 Online Book Presentation Contest. This year’s competition attracted 250 entries from 63 secondary and high schools across the city. Most entries conveyed messages of patriotism, sacrifice, national pride, solidarity, and youth responsibility toward their homeland, as well as the nation’s aspirations for growth in the modern era, etc... Many teams produced impressive and emotionally moving video presentations featuring beautiful, well-crafted scenes. The organizing committee presented 50 prizes for this competition.

Even younger than Dinh Huy, Mr. Do Minh Dien, who was born in 1990, is currently an officer in the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City. What they have in common is a strong passion for books, and up to now, each of them has built his own personal book collection. They are truly the “young gentlemen” who collect books in Hue.
