Hue City Library serves over 1.2 million readers in 2025

HNN.VN - In 2025, Hue City Library served more than 1.2 million readers both in person and online. The library also issued over 5,700 library cards to readers.

 The leaders of Hue City Department of Culture and Sports presented the Outstanding Labor Collective title from the Chairman of Hue City People's Committee to the Board of Directors of Hue City Library

This information was announced by Hue City Library at the Conference on the Implementation of Tasks and the Conference for Officials and Employees in 2026, held on the afternoon of January 14.

In addition to serving readers, the Library established 41 resource circulation points and provided mobile services for over 11,470 books. In 2025, the Library actively promoted communication efforts, and organized activities in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21), and World Book and Copyright Day (April 23).

According to the leaders of Hue City Library, in 2026, the unit will focus on professional activities, and coordinate the organization of events in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, and World Book and Copyright Day. It also plans to organize the Reading Culture Ambassador contest, Online book introduction contest, and exhibitions participating in the Community Ao dai Week…

Based on the plan for collecting, digitizing, preserving, restoring, and promoting the value of Han - Nom documents for the 2026 - 2030 period, approved by the City People’s Committee, the Library will effectively organize and implement the collection, digitization, and utilization of Han - Nom materials to serve research, education, and the promotion of Hue’s cultural heritage values.
