HNN.VN - On April 20 (March 16 of Lunar calendar), a large number of artists and music players of Ca Hue (traditional Hue Singing) and Hue folk songs gathered at the ancestral House of Ancient Music (at 5/127 Nguyen Trai street, Hue City) to attend the commemoration of Ca Hue ancestors.

The artists respectfully offered incense to the Ca Hue ancestors, paid tribute to the patriarchs of Hue traditional music, a long-standing art form which holds an important place in the treasure of national cultural heritage.

Historical and cultural relic of the Ancient Music ancestral House is the only one of Hue traditional music sector in the ancient capital land. This is also the place to worship the patriarchs who enlightened the music of our country.

The area of the Ancient Music ancestral House was originally Cung ton temple founded by King Thanh Thai in 1891 to worship his father, King Duc Đuc. In 1899, Emperor Duc Đuc was brought to be worshipped in Long An Palace, thus, the Cung ton temple was abandoned. Until 1966, it was assigned to the Imperial Ancient Music Band to build the ancestral house. Since then, the Ancient Music ancestral house was born.
