Art exhibition of Buddhist culture - Hue Festival 2024

HNN.VN - On the morning of June 7, the Provincial Executive Board of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha organized an opening ceremony of the Art exhibition of Buddhist culture - Hue Festival 2024 at Lieu Quan Buddhist Cultural Center (15A Le Loi Street, Hue City).

The exhibition showcases 110 art works by 20 authors, who are famous artists and sculptors from Hue as well as across the country. The displayed art works are meticulously crafted, rich in content, diverse in forms, genres, and materials such as lacquer, ceramics, bronze, pebbles, and other traditional materials.

 Each art work carries a different message

The art works of Buddhist culture through the images of lotus flower, carrying content value, ideology, and philosophy of Buddhism associated with people's daily activities. They are a part of theme “Cultural heritage with integration and development” in Hue Festival Week 2024.

This exhibition brings together many experienced painters as well as young, creative, and passionate ones. The authors have poured their minds into every stroke, imbuing them with many languages to create unique and attractive art works such as: “Vu dieu sen” (“Dance of Lotus”), “Vung trang le” (“The Majestic Land”), “Giao huong trang” (“White Symphony”), “Sen phap lam” (“Vitreous Enamel Lotus”), “Dau tinh” (“Imprint of Purity”), “Vong xua” (“Echoes from the past”), “Mien Hanh phuc” (“The Land of Happiness”), and “Chuyen cua Sen” (“Stories of the Lotus”).

The paintings containing Buddhist philosophies are “Tim den cai khong” (“Seeking the Emptiness”), “Buoc chan hanh gia” (“The Pilgrim's Footsteps”), “Ve phia anh trang” (“Towards the Moonlight”), “Doa hoa vo thuong” (“The Impermanent Flower”), “Phan tinh” (“Enlightenment”), “Ben giac” (“The Shore of Enlightenment”), “Thi hien”, “Thong dong” (“Leisurely”), “Toa thien” (“Meditation”),  “Phap thuyen” (“The Dharma Boat”), “Chuyen kiep” (“Transmigration”), “Nong tinh”, “Lien Ngu” (“Lotus and Fish”), “Giao lo” (“The Crossroads”), and “Hoa dang” (“Flower Lanterns”). In addition, there are also art works of artistic value that express the humanism of Buddhism associated with people's daily lives.

These art works of Buddhist culture are a major highlight, and the exhibition is running throughout Hue Festival Week 2024.
