Hue city is gradually improved and looks spacious
Tu Tuong (Four Elephants) park located on Le Loi street is one of the planned venues for many programs and activities on the occasion of Hue Festival 2018, whose construction categories in the embellishment of the park system in Hue city are being carried out by Hue Greenery Parks Center.
With an area of over 2,400 square meters, the park’s entire surface is being paved with stones in place of degraded bricks; at the same time, new lawns are established and fences are upgraded, with the total investment of over VND 1.1 billion.
Director of Hue Greenery Parks Center, Mr. Le Nhu Chinh said that the center had completed the embellishment of Ly Tu Trong and Thuong Bac parks, with a total repair cost of VND 1.4 billion. The center is mobilizing forces to accelerate the embellishment pace of Tu Tuong park to be put into operation on the occasion of the Lunar New Year and ready for the events in Hue Festival 2018, and creating nice appearance for the central city.
The construction of upgrading and developing of Hue urban area has been speeded up, focusing on embellishing and upgrading key traffic routes such as the streets of Le Quy Don, Nguyen Thai Hoc and Ben Nghe; as well as finishing the tile paving work of Le Loi street pavement; replacing the street name sign system on the streets, investing in upgrading, extending and lighting streets and lanes, and completing the system of traffic signs, traffic lights and street lights.
The project to install art lights on Truong Tien bridge, with a total investment of about VND 15 billion, which is considered a highlight for Hue city in 2018.
Tu Tuong park is urgently being embellished to serve Hue Festival 2018
Head of Urban Management Department of Hue city, Mr. Nguyen Viet Bang said that the city had completed the embellishment of Vo Thi Sau, Chu Van An and Pham Ngu Lao streets to serve the pedestrian quarter on weekends, and continued to embellish the area along To Huu street (from Ba Trieu street to Phat Lat river branch), lakes of Tan Mieu and Vo Sanh and the streets of Le Quy Don, Hung Vuong, Le Loi and Ngo Quyen, etc. At the same time, it also replaces the street lighting system and the street name sign system in the remaining wards of the city and extends static traffic points.
Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh said that 2018 was the year of urban embellishment, administrative reform, tourism and services; to embellish the city to serve the province’s major festival - Hue Festival 2018, from the beginning of the year, the city has focused on mobilizing all resources to invest in building and embellishing the synchronous infrastructure system. The priority is given to the funding of approved works in the medium-term public investment plan in term of 2016-2021 and public investment plan in 2018; speeding up urgent projects, as well as the projects of urban embellishment and lighting, and strictly managing the use of capital and transferring capital of uncompleted projects.

Hue City People's Committee is concentrating its resources on implementing key projects for the festival, such as building urban infrastructure and urban areas, speeding up the projects to improve water environment, installing traffic monitoring cameras, order and environmental sanitation, and completing the pilot project of detailed planning of the two banks of the Huong (Perfume) river and the project of embellishing the Hung Vuong intersection. Besides, it also urges the implementation of embellishment project of pavements in some areas of the city center, lighting, and the parks around Hue Imperial City, etc.
