| The two sides having in-depth discussions on promotion strategies and efforts to promote Hue’s images in the coming time |
During the meeting, leaders of the City People’s Committee, CNN representatives, members of the Southeast Asia delegation, and authorized media representatives in Vietnam joined an in-depth discussion on orientations for promotional strategies and activities to elevate Hue’s image on the international stage. Accordingly, the new phase will focus on fully conveying Hue’s distinctive values, including its heritage, cultural depth, natural landscapes, and the unique characters of the Hue people to global audiences through CNN’s multi-platform media ecosystem.
On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Phil Nelson expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm reception extended by the city’s leaders, while also sharing his strong impression of the rich historical heritage and distinctive cultural identity of Hue Ancient Capital. The representative of CNN highly valued Hue’s standing and affirmed that the city possesses all the strategic potential necessary to become one of Asia’s leading destination highlights.
Mr. Phil Nelson affirmed that CNN is committed to maintaining a long-term partnership with the city in developing large-scale media campaigns, while also working toward the early signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two sides.

Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang emphasized that the City’s Party Committee and local authorities consistently regard international media as a spearhead and breakthrough solution for positioning Hue as Vietnam’s heritage, cultural, and tourism brand on the global stage. He also acknowledged and highly appreciated the effectiveness of Hue’s tourism promotion campaign carried out across CNN platforms in 2025.
As the city enters the 2026 - 2030 phase, the city hopes that the two sides will deepen and broaden their cooperation. Beyond focusing on heritage promotion, future communication efforts are expected to emphasize Hue’s vision for green and sustainable tourism, its identity as the “Culinary Capital”, and the humanitarian values of Hue locals.
Providing further information to the partner, leaders of Hue City People’s Committee said the city is currently finalizing its Communication and Destination Promotion Strategy for the 2026 - 2030 period. This is considered a long-term strategic move to build up Hue’s brand as a dynamic, welcoming, and highly competitive heritage destination, while strengthening its position on the global tourism map.
