Zhishan Foundation awards scholarships to poor students overcoming difficulty

HNN.VN - On the morning of September 19, the Zhishan Foundation Project Office coordinated with the Provincial Children’s Sponsorship Fund and the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs of Huong Thuy town to hold a ceremony to award scholarships to poor students overcoming difficulty in the area.

The scholarships are the encouragement, contributing to helping the poor students keep on striving and getting progress in their study process

86 scholarships were awarded in this session, in which, each elementary and middle school student received a 600.000 VND scholarship; each scholarship for a high school student is 800.000 VND.

Furthermore, students also received gifts for the new school year, awards for 10th-grade students, gifts for good students, and those achieved prizes in competitions. The total expense for scholarships, awards and gifts was over 70 million VND.

At Thua Thien Hue, the project of awarding scholarships to poor students overcoming difficulty of Zhishan Foundation has been held continuously from 1999 up to now, with over 700 students in the provincial area benefiting from this project each year, including supporting scholarships and providing learning aids, personal belongings, etc.
