Vietnam and Laos exchange experiences on religious affairs among their border provinces

HNN.VN - On the morning of December 21st, in Hue City, the Vietnam’s Government Committee for Religious Affairs of Vietnam and the Lao Front for National Construction Central Committee organized a conference to exchange experiences on religious affairs among the border provinces of Vietnam and Laos.

The conference was co-chaired by Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Trong Thua and Vice President of the Lao Front for National Construction Central Committee Khambay Damlat. The conference also had the attendance of representatives of relevant ministries, branches and 20 border provinces between the two countries.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Trong Thua affirmed that the traditional solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation are always built up, consolidated and developed by the Party, Government and People of the two countries, which are in-depth, practical and effective in many fields with rich and diverse forms. The Deputy Minister highly appreciated the cooperative relationship between the two countries in the field of religion and the positive results achieved.

The conference took place in an atmosphere of solidarity and mutual understanding. The two sides clearly expressed their common perception about the importance of the cooperation relationship between border provinces of Vietnam and Laos in many fields, including the religious field, contributing to strengthening traditional friendship relations and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two Governments and People of the two countries.

Delegates at the conference also came up with many recommendations, proposed solutions and agreed on the coordination contents to improve the effectiveness of state management on religion in the border areas, contributing to building a peaceful , stable, cooperative and friendship border.
