The first academic discipline of Hue University achieves the quality standard of AUN-QA

This is the first academic discipline of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy meeting the quality standards of AUN-QA, also marking the very first accredited training discipline of Hue University.

Since 2021, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy has carried out the preparation and self-assessment of the Medical Laboratory Technology Bachelor’s training program following the standards of AUN-QA. The training program has been developed based on the demand of healthcare system in the field of laboratory testing, benchmarking against other training programs from domestic and international universities, with the participation of all stakeholders, especially from labor-utilizing units.

From July 4 to 6, 2023, the external evaluation delegation of AUN-QA, including experts from Thailand and Philippines came to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy to assess the training program. The evaluation results announced by AUN-QA Secretariat on August 6, 2023 confirmed that the Bachelor’s degree training program in Medical Laboratory Technology of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University has met the quality standards of AUN-QA. The program received a 5-year accreditation, and the certification number AP1063HUJUL2023.

With its achievements and the pioneering in training program innovation towards the advanced trends in global medical education and educational quality assurance, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy stands as a leader in the field of educational facility assessment of Hue University in particular and among other health science Universities of Vietnam in general. The work of training program assessment is carried out following the domestic and international standards.
