The 25th Asian Physics Olympiad was held from May 4 to 12 in Dhahran city, Saudi Arabia. The competition saw the participation of 30 teams from 29 countries and territories, with 208 contestants.

According to the APhO regulations, participating students complete two exams: a theoretical exam (5 hours) and a practical exam (5 hours). This year's theoretical exam was based on real-world and modern applications of Physics such as the precession of the Earth's axis causing global climate impacts; spin waves related to quantum computers; and the greenhouse effect. The practical exam was based on the electromagnetic induction effect and its application in induction cookers.

Vietnamese delegation ranked among the top 5 countries with the highest achievements. With 3 Gold Medals, 3 Silver Medals, and 2 Bronze Medals, this year's achievement of Vietnamese team is considered outstanding compared to the previous year (there were 1 Gold Medal, 1 Silver Medal, and 6 Bronze Medals in 2024).

The Organizing Committee of APhO 2025 will hold the closing ceremony and awarding ceremony on May 12.
