At the courtesy reception, Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong wished to continue expanding the friendly cooperation in various fields with South African partners.

Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong suggested that the South African Embassy continue to pay attention and support the province through proposals and recommendations to the Government and relevant agencies of South Africa so as to create mechanisms and policies to strengthen cooperation in the fields of investment, trade, and tourism between Thua Thien Hue and partners from South Africa, as well as encouraging cooperation in the fields of mutual interest such as textiles and garments, leather shoes, electronic equipment, and ICT, etc.

In term of culture, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hoped that the embassy would pay attention to facilitating the organization of cooperation programs on cultural exchange, especially introducing South African artist groups to participate in Hue Festivals, so that the public would have the opportunity to interact and learn about South African culture and art.

Ms. Vuyiswa Tulelo sent her thanks to Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong and the provincial leaders for the respectful and thoughtful courtesy reception. At the same time, she said that she was very impressed with the landscapes, culture, and people of Thua Thien Hue. Ms. Vuyiswa Tulelo will send art troupes to join Hue Festival 2024 for the cultural exchange between the two localities.

2023 is the year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and South Africa (December 22, 1993 - December 22, 2023). The two sides have coordinated to implement a number of practical activities. Ms. Vuyiswa Tulelo hoped that through the business trip, the cooperative relationship between the two sides would increasingly develop, opening up many new steps in many fields of development cooperation.
