National workshop on sharing experiences in management of shared bicycles and electric scooters
HNN.VN - On the morning of June 16th, the Provincial Institute for Research and Development, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the SolutionPlus project, organized a National Workshop on “Sharing experiences in the management of shared bicycles and electric scooters.”

The workshop aimed to share experiences and models for shared bicycles and electric scooters that have been implemented worldwide as well as in various provinces and cities of Vietnam. It also discussed the implementation of orientations to develop policies and programs for sustainable transportation, circular economy, and climate change adaptation in Thua Thien Hue province.
Delegates have addressed various issues, including: introducing ongoing efforts to promote the development of electric transportation in Vietnam; A global overview of the models and experiences of shared electric scooters and bicycles; An overview of shared bicycle system in Vietnam - institutions and policies; Experiences on various shared bicycles and electric scooters from Asian and European countries; Planning for sustainable green transportation infrastructure and recommendations for Hue; Bike-sharing model in Vietnam; An overview of the technical requirements for Vietnam's bike- and scooter-sharing concepts.
This is a significant occasion for encouraging the use of electric vehicles and promoting greentransportation in Hue. Additionally, it sought to secure the agreement of the province People's Committee on the promotion of green and electric transportation in Hue.
