Continuing to encourage French businesses to invest in Hue

HNN.VN - On the morning of September 23, Chairman of the Provincial Peoples’ Committee Phan Ngoc Tho had a meeting with the delegation of French Senate and France Embassy led by Mrs. Catherine Deroche, Senator from Maine-et-Loire province, President of the France-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group.

According to Mrs. Catherine Deroche, she had visited a couple of destinations in Hue and she was very impressed and highly appreciated the work of preserving and promoting Hue cultural values. She was interested in the cooperative relationship between the two countries in general, and between the localities of France and Thua Thien Hue in particular.

In her position, she would keep on encouraging and promoting French businesses to invest in the province; enhancing the bilateral relationship; in the short term, ensuring to do well the education and vocational training for helping disadvantaged children to soon integrate into the community. At the same time, she also desired to form the cooperation between Quoc Hoc High school for the gifted and the school Henry the Fourth of France.

Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho affirmed that the Vietnam – France relationship is increasingly close through the exchange and cooperation of the two sides. The Chairman introduced to the delegation the provincial potentials, strengths, and development strategies. At the same time, he acknowledged and highly appreciated the support of French Government, as well as of the people and localities of France, for the province over the time, especially actively contributing to the success of the festivals. Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho desired that Hue will be the model in the field of decentralized cooperation of Vietnam and France.
