The Chairman expressed his hope that WWF in general, and WWF-Vietnam in particular, would continue to support Hue City in accessing international funding sources to enhance resilience to the impacts of climate change. He also called for assistance in conservation efforts, biodiversity enhancement, value chain development, and improving the livelihoods of communities dependent on forests, thereby, reducing pressure on natural resources, especially forests and wildlife.

At the same time, he called WWF for continuing their attention, partnership, and support for Hue City People’s Committee in environment protection, particularly in projects aimed at reducing solid and plastic waste; implementing the city’s waste segregation at source program, and managing plastic waste within the city by 2025, with a vision toward 2030, in line with the established roadmap, plans, and objectives.
