| Leaders of the Provincial Department of Tourism and other relevant departments, branches, and units performed the button-pressing ceremony to launch the Wellness Tourism Week |
The Wellness Tourism Week 2024 took place from November 22 to 24 at Hue City Center for Culture, Information and Sports (23 - 25 Le Loi Street). This event aimed to promote the province's wellness tourism products and services, highlighting their practical, unique and quality values, as well as the competitiveness at domestic, regional and international levels. Simultaneously, it reinforced Thua Thien Hue's position as an attractive destination not only for its core cultural heritage tourism products, but also for a range of complementary tourism products such as wellness tourism, community tourism, eco-tourism, spiritual tourism, and village craft tourism, etc.
This year's Wellness Tourism Week features various exhibition and commercial activities, including: nutritious cuisine from renowned Hue restaurants; specialty products and clean food from organic agricultural enterprises; diverse spa services; beauty and dental care services; wellness products from reputable pharmaceutical companies in the province; and a program offering both traditional and modern health check-ups and consultations (free for visitors and local residents coming for a visit).

Experiences at the booths during the Wellness Tourism Week

The highlight of the Wellness Tourism Week is a series of talkshows themed: “Introduction to comprehensive beauty methods at Hue Central International Hospital” by Doctor Tran Nhat Huy, (M.Sc.) Deputy Head of the Plastic Surgery Department - Aesthetic Center - Hue Central International Hospital; “Introduction to screening and proactive healthcare services for visitors to Hue” by Tran Thi Xuan Huong, (M.Sc.) Deputy Director of the Health Check Center, Hue Central Hospital; “Traditional Oriental Medicine and royal treatment methods” by Meritorious Teacher, Traditional physician Phan Tan To, (M.Sc.) Permanent Vice President of Hue Oriental Medicine Association; and “Nutrition for boosting immunity” by Dr. Mai Hang, (Ph.D.) a nutrition expert from Ho Chi Minh City.
Interspersed throughout these activities is a guided Yoga and Meditation program, themed “Chakra Healing meditation”, by Yoga Master Vishnu Harshan from Alba Wellness Valley by Fusion Thanh Tan. There were also a Zumba and Aerobic performance titled “Burn Calories - Boost Health”, as well as nightly musical performances of the band Acoustic Band. A special highlight was the performance by guest singer Xuan Dinh K.Y on the evening of November 23.
This is the third consecutive year, starting from 2022, that the “Wellness Tourism Week” event is organized. It has been positioned as an annual activity of the tourism sector, within the framework of Hue Festival. This event brings practical values, helping both locals and visitors raise the awareness and gain new experiences in protecting their own health and the health of the community.
