The Huong River is so clean; the water surface is calm, and the reach past which we rowed has a peaceful landscape, with rice fields and trees swooping down the river. Thien Mu Pagoda viewed from the river looks so beautiful ...," said Mrs. Nguyen Kim Thu.

The boat used for the race is a traditional boat model; when organized, the race has flags and pennons like a traditional race on the Huong River.
