The contest for wrapping and cooking banh Chung, banh Tet is one of the significant activities in the framework of “Tet holiday in Hue” program
As one of the series activities to celebrate the Party and the Year of The Cat - 2023 of Hue city with the aim to promote Hue traditional cultural values; re-enacting, introducing and promoting some of the activities to celebrate traditional new year of Hue people; Hue cuisine and local specialties at Tet, the “Tet holiday in Hue” program will introduce, promote the craft villages, traditional crafts and traditional products of Hue.
Furthermore, the program will also introduce typical products, in which giving priority to traditional products served Tet. Thereby, it would give a hand to help local people consume goods, at the same time connecting, supplying, and meeting the demand of Hue people and tourists during the time of celebrating traditional new year holiday.
Displaying handicraft products
The program consists of the contest for making jams and traditional Tet cakes; the contest for wrapping and cooking banh Chung, banh Tet; the space for introducing, promoting, displaying craft villages, traditional crafts, and Hue traditional products, etc., selling specialties, typical products of localities and businesses; the program “Spring Color Night Concert”; Year-End tray contest, and the exhibition space for contest products, etc.
This is an opportunity to exchange, enhance the cooperative relationship, solidarity, attachment, and create a useful playground for cadres, union members and members of socio-political organizations, mass organizations, agencies, armed force, etc., at the same time, through this program, it will push up the contribution to supporting poor and near poor households, families with difficult circumstances, and center for raising orphans and disable children during the national traditional new year holiday.
