Spreading the values of Lang Co - A world’s beautiful bay

Commemorative activities for the 15th anniversary ceremony of Lang Co Bay being recognized as a world's beautiful bay will take place from May 10th to May 12th.

According to a representative of the district People's Committee, on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Lang Co Bay being honored and recognized as one of the world's beautiful bays, the People's Committee of Phu Loc district will organize a commemorative program called “Lang Co - World's Beautiful Bay - 15 Years of Construction and Development” from May 10th to 12th, with many exciting and attractive activities imbued with the cultural identity of the region.

The ceremony of 15 years “Lang Co Bay being recognized as one of the world's beautiful bays” is being organized by Phu Loc District People's Committee in conjunction with the inauguration of Nguyen Van pedestrian path along Lap An lagoon. This activity aims to contribute to creating a unique tourism product to serve the people and domestic and international tourists, at the same time, stimulating tourism, especially in the summer of 2024, creating a premise for the following years to make Lang Co an attractive destination on the North - South national highway.

The commemorative program will feature a variety of activities, such as an anniversary night gala and cultural and sports activities, both traditional and modern, including: culinary activities, sup boarding, the fishermen's festival, traditional boat racing, thung boat racing, paragliding, low-altitude fireworks, etc., to promote the beauty of Vietnamese culture to tourists and friends from both inside and outside the country.

The event aims to continue to promoting the image of Lang Co Bay associated with the tourism development potential and strengths of Phu Loc district; attracting investment resources, promoting tourism development; contributing to the goal of making tourism a spearhead economic sector of the district, creating momentum for economic growth and restructuring in accordance with the objectives of the Resolution of the 15th District Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025 and Resolution No. 09-NQ/HU dated October 14, 2021 of the District Committee on tourism service development in the period 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030; the district together with the whole province successfully implement Resolution 54-NQ/TW dated December 10, 2019 of the Politburo on building and developing Thua Thien Hue province by 2030, with a vision to 2045.
