Visitors wear masks when visiting heritage sites as regulated
The Complex of Hue Monuments is still the most attracted destination to tourists. During the first 3 days of the holiday (April 30th, May 1st and 2nd), there were about 30,000 arrivals visiting Hue heritage. Particularly on May 1st, the heritage complex attracted nearly 11 thousand arrivals.
The tourist destinations such as Bach Ma Villge (Phu Loc), Yes Hue Eco (Nam Dong), Alba Thanh Tan (Phong Dien) ... attract thousands of arrivals to enjoy and relax everyday. Not as before, these destinations have exploited a new service of staying with tents; this has attracted overnight guests, increasing income for the destination.
Beaches, lagoons and springs, waterfalls tourist sites also attract tourists to use the entertainment services. Every afternoon, the beaches such as Thuan An, Vinh Thanh, Canh Duong ... attract thousands of arrivals to swim and enjoy seafood at the restaurants.
On this holiday, many routes and tourist products are also chosen, such as SUP rowing tour on the Huong river, city tours by cyclo, bicycle and tram; community tours in A Luoi, Tam Giang lagoon, Chuon lagoon…. Besides, enjoying typical cuisine in lagoons and mountains has also attracted tourists.
Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism forecasted that on this April 30th - May 1st holiday, Hue would welcome about 150,000 arrivals, many times more than that in 2020. In just the first 3 days of the holiday, Hue welcomed about 30,000 staying guests. 4-5 star hotels reached capacity of 95-100%, hotels with 3 stars or less reached about 80% of their capacity.
“In the complicated progression of the epidemic, the tourism industry has suggested all destinations, businesses, accommodation establishments… to strictly ensure and comply with regulations in disease prevention; strengthen forces to patrol, control, remind visitors to wear masks when visiting heritages as regulated, and make full medical declaration when arriving in Hue. Up to present, the process of welcoming and serving guests is still guaranteed and under control,” said Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang.
