With increasingly developed infrastructure, ample land available for development, and a clear focus on attracting high-quality investment, Hue City is opening up new opportunities to welcome both domestic and foreign investors.

On the morning of September 8, Hue University, in coordination with the College of Hue, held a reception ceremony for Lao students receiving scholarships from the City People’s Committee to begin their studies at Hue University in the 2026 - 2027 academic year.

During this year’s National Day holiday, from August 29 to September 2, Hue City was estimated to welcome over 651,000 tourist arrivals, up about 231% year on year.

Over the National Day (September 2) holiday, Hue welcomed a large number of visitors from near and far, creating a vibrant and bustling atmosphere. On the morning of August 28, Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR), in collaboration with Quang Tri Province People’s Committee and Hue People’s Committee, officially launched the ‘Phong Nha - Hue Imperial City: A World Heritage Journey’ tourist train at Dong Hoi Railway Station. Later that day, Hue City welcomed the train and held a ceremony to mark its arrival.

As the five-day National Day holiday approaches, featuring a vibrant lineup of cultural, artistic, sports, and experiential activities, Hue is expected to welcome over 500,000 tourist arrivals.

In preparation for the 2026 - 2027 academic year, two inter-level boarding schools in A Luoi 3 and A Luoi 4 communes are urgently completing the final preparations to welcome students back to school starting August 25.

According to the information released by the Department of Tourism on the morning of August 20, based on survey data, the number of tourists to Hue during this year’s National Day holiday (September 2) is expected to keep on rising year-on-year, reaching an estimated 535,000 arrivals.
