On September 25, the “Hue - A plastic-reduced smart city in Central Vietnam” project (TVA project), in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, held a workshop to evaluate the waste sorting at source program in Hue City. The event also aimed to disseminate the environmental protection under the two-tier local government model.

On November 29, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development collaborated with the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association to hold a training program on promoting and enhancing OCOP product trading through e-commerce platforms.

On the morning of October 6, at Quoc hoc Hue High school for the Gifted, the Department of Dyke Management and Disaster Prevention under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in collaboration with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and the United States Forest Services held a training session titled “Basis Knowledge on Disaster Prevention and First Aid for Injuries”.

​On the morning of March 29th, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in collaboration with Hue’s Fisheries Sub-department, organized the release of 160 thousand endemic fish into the Huong River to restore the aquatic resources of this waterway.

According to the Plant Protection Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), on August 8, 2023, the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has just sent a letter to this agency to inform about the opening of the United States (US) market for Vietnamese fresh coconuts.

On March 29, The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), the Australian Embassy and the Australian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City cooperated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Provincial People's Committee to organize a conference to promote Australian education, culture and cuisine in Hue City, within the Viet Nam - Australia: Unlocking Opportunities in Education and Agrifood roadshow series.
