The stretches of forest in A Luoi not only shelter the villages, but also have now become the livelihood foundation for locals. The Emission Reductions Payment Agreement (ERPA) in the North Central Region has helped people in the mountainous areas gain stable extra income, and more importantly, changed their perspective: Protecting the forest is not just a responsibility, but a right associated with their daily lives.

Under the majestic roof of the Guol, amidst the resonant gongs of the festive season, the Co Tu people of Doi Village are steadily awakening the potential of community-based tourism. They are creating livelihoods right on their homeland while preserving and sharing the traditional cultural values of their village.

More than 1,000 people from all three regions of the country, wearing traditional and modern ao dai, gathered in Hue for a parade. All of this created a vibrant, colorful, and festive atmosphere right in the heart of Hue City.

On the first days right after the reunification, the song “Nang thang ba” (Sunlight in March) by Tran Hoan could be heard everywhere throughout the city and the countryside, “Oh darling, look up and dry your tears..." The song quickly won the hearts of Hue people.

On holidays, weekends, or whenever they have free time, young people have a habit of searching for new “locations” to enrich their “virtual living” photo collections. Instead of spending time looking for far away places, recently, many young people have turned to check in at dining, entertainment, and shopping destinations right in the city.

Groups of young people walk along the shore, watching the waves crash. Each person finds a spot and waits for the right moment to cast their line.

As Hue enters the winter, the cold of winter seems to be worse by long-lasting rains. Nevertheless, this is the right weather for visitors and young people to experience every corner of Hue and enjoy many popular and simple snacks, which are warm and fragrant.
