On June 22nd, Hue Central Hospital announced that patient P.M.D. (41 years old, residing in My Thuong Ward, Hue City), who received a heart transplant from a deceased brain-dead donor, had made a good recovery and was discharged from the hospital. This was the 23rd successful heart transplant performed at the hospital and the last of six recipients who received organs and tissues from the same brain-dead donor to be discharged.

Hue Central Hospital has successfully performed six organ transplants from a brain-dead donor, bringing life-saving and restorative opportunities to six critically ill patients. This achievement not only affirms the high level of expertise of the hospital’s medical team but also profoundly spreads the humanitarian value of organ and tissue donation within the community.

Across the fields of Quang Dien, Hue City, there is a farmer who has quietly sowed the seeds of kindness for nearly three decades. Without fanfare or publicity, Van Sinh, 53, a resident of Tan Xuan Lai Village, has silently donated blood 86 times, bringing hope and life to dozens, perhaps hundreds, of people.

On May 26th, at Hai Ba Trung High School, the provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary blood donation, the Co Do Living Blood Bank, and the provincial Red Cross Association organized the “Pink Hat of Hue” festival, focusing on hair donation and organ donation registration to save people’s lives.
