Quiet workshop sessions have become a popular destination for many young people during the New Year holiday. These workshops offer not only hands-on experiences in making handicrafts but also moments for young participants to slow down emotionally and freely express themselves through colors that bear their own personal imprint.

At the heart of the Imperial City of Hue, the 180-year-old Co Mat Vien (Supreme council for military and major state affairs of the Nguyen Dynasty) is gradually being revitalized in a new guise. Formerly the seat of the highest decisions of the Nguyen Dynasty, the space is being shaped into a center for creativity, education, and heritage experiences for the community.

The culinary passport is seen as a fresh idea that turns dining experiences into highlights of a travel journey. Instead of traditional sightseeing, visitors can “stamp their taste buds” by checking in with signature dishes at each destination. This idea opens up new ways to stimulate tourism demand.

Shopping is considered a supplementary factor that enhances the travel experience for tourists. The integration of shopping centers and tourism with shopping activities, art performances, and travel experiences creates new opportunities for Hue to attract and “retain” visitors.

Organizing STEAM educational experiences for students; a warm art night dedicated to mothers; a journey carrying books to a remote village; and a discussion with young people about French architecture, etc., these activities gave August a warm start at Hue Book and Culture Space - a cultural meeting place that, despite being new, has become a cherished part of Hue.

During 2 days, from September 18 to 19, about 70 travel businesses and travel associations nationwide came to Hue to participate in the Hue famtrip program titled “Ancient Capital – New Experiences season 3” to visit, survey, and assess the tours and tourism destinations in Hue.

The Department of Tourism has reported that during the Giap Thin Lunar New Year (Year of the Dragon), the number of tourists visiting Hue for sightseeing and experiences has significantly increased compared to that of the same period in 2023, with many accommodation facilities fully booked during the festive days.

The newly launch of the application “Hue City Passport” will enhance the freshness of travelers’ journey in discovering Hue. The provincial tourism sector is keeping carrying out digital transformation to create more new benefits and experiences for tourists.

Lunar New Year first day(s) is the peak period for tourism, which also marks the beginning of a new year. Currently, the provincial tourism sector, along with units and businesses are providing many services, ensuring interesting and safe experiences for visitors.

Setting aside the phones and signing up for experiences in crafting their favourite handmade items has become a new trend among the young generation, earning the “pleasure” of parents and providing relaxing moments for their whole family.
