On the evening of February 6, at the area in front of the Imperial Academy, Ham Nghi Square, and along 23 Thang 8 (August 23) Street in Phu Xuan Ward, Phu Xuan Ward People’s Committee held the opening ceremony of the “Phu Xuan Tet - Colors and Flavors of the Ancient Capital” program, attracting a large number of residents and visitors.

The 10th City Sports Games Billiards Tournament 2026 officially kicked off on the morning of January 31 at Quoc Vinh Billiards Club (Le Hong Phong Street, Thuan Hoa Ward). This is the 11th discipline among 18 events featured in the City Sports Games.

On January 7, the city’s Economic Census Steering Committee, together with Phu Xuan Ward authorities, kicked off the 2026 Economic Census.

On the morning of December 20 - 21, the Vovinam Tournament under the 10th Hue City Sports Games in 2025 - 2026 officially kicked off at the City Youth Activities Center. It is the eighth sport featured at this year’s Games, following traditional boat racing, karate, taekwondo, shuttlecock kicking, volleyball, badminton, and table tennis.

The Shuttlecock Kicking Tournament of the 10th Hue City Sports Festival (2025–2026) opened on the morning of October 15 at Canh Buom Sport Hall (100 Pham Van Dong Street), bringing together 51 athletes from Hue University, Binh Dien Commune, Phu Xuan Ward, and Phu Bai Ward to compete.

On the afternoon of October 12th, at the Sports and Cultural Center Stadium of Phu Xuan Ward (Hue City), the Ministry of Education and Training, in coordination with Vietnam University and Professional Sports Association and Hue University and Professional Sports Association, held the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Men Student Football Tournament - TV360 Cup, Central Region.

On the morning of October 7, the Doctor Recruitment Council under the talent attraction policy at Hue City’s public health units held the opening ceremony of the doctor recruitment program, phase 1, 2025.

On the morning of September 27, 2025 Hue City Age-Group Swimming Championship opened at the City Sports Center swimming pool (No. 2 Le Quy Don Street). The event is co-organized by the Department of Culture & Sports and the City Youth Union.

The National Sepak Takraw Championship 2025 for elite teams officially opened on the afternoon of September 15th at the square opposite Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted. The tournament is co-organized by the Department of Culture & Sports and Vietnam Sepak Takraw Federation.

On June 29, a cultural exchange activity between Hue City and the cultural tourism delegation of Nanning (Nam Ninh) City (China) took place at Duyen Thi Duong Theater. This event marked the beginning of China - ASEAN cultural exchange program 2025 in Vietnam.
